Several roads in the area were closed when emergency services were called to Verdant Lane in Lewisham at 8.10am. in response to the incident. There are no reports of injuries. A passerby, John Stevens, wrote on Twitter, “Oh, a toilet truck at the s *** in the South Roundabout,” as he shared photos of toilet rolls on display as the truck container opened.
