After a uniform and highly competitive first half, the Sixers opened things up in the middle of the third quarter with a 22-3 run that included a four-minute no-scores for the Raptors. The game was not competitive the rest of the way, as the Sixers gained 35 points. Joel Embiid was first with 33 points and 10 rebounds, while James Harden had 22 points and 15 assists in the kind of performance they expected of him throughout. The Sixers shot 58 percent off the field, and the top five scored double-digit numbers. The Raptors had a brave fight in this series, but eventually ran out of gas against a more talented Sixers team. Fred VanVleet’s absence was felt, especially in the second half when the Raptors had a hard time scoring. Chris Boucher was one of the few bright spots, scoring 25 points in the playoffs.
