An investigation into the murder has begun following the death of a man with a knife at the Lakeside Mall in Essex. The victim was attacked near the center’s restaurant and could not be saved despite the emergency medical care provided by an ambulance crew. Police believe it was a targeted attack. A policeman guards a closed escalator after the deadly attack with a knife at 4.30 p.m. Police say the perpetrator was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a black jacket. The other was wearing a blue tracksuit A police spokesman said: “We have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Thurrock. “We received reports of a man being injured after a serious attack inside the Lakeside Mall just before 4:30 p.m. today. “Emergency services were present, but, unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. “He is believed to have been attacked by two men described as black or Asian. “One was wearing blue ripped jeans, a white T-shirt, black sneakers and a black jacket and was holding a small bag and the other described wearing a blue tracksuit and white sneakers.” The victim could not be saved despite the best efforts of ambulances Pictures from the spot showed that police had closed part of the mall. including an escalator. The Thurrock-based mall has been popular with shoppers since it opened in 1990 and receives 20 million visitors a year. The police call anyone who has information to come.
