Toronto police said they received reports of shootings in The Queensway and Windermere Avenue shortly before 10 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a man in his 30s in a car with no vital signs.  Rescue measures were then launched, carrying out a WRIST on the victim.
He was rushed to the injury center in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
The homicide department has been called in to investigate.
Police said they found evidence of gunfire at the scene.
A vehicle was spotted leaving the area, police said, but no suspicious information was immediately available.
