Majority Of Americans Approve The Acquisition Of Elon Musk On Twitter Poll

Although social media giant employees are melting with the prospect of new ownership, a Rasmussen poll to be published on Friday found that 62% of adults believe that buying Musk will make Twitter better. Only 13 percent, meanwhile, believe Musk will make the platform worse, the poll shows. Women, Republicans, people over 40 and people on lower incomes were the most enthusiastic demographics about Musk’s acquisition. But even 57 percent of Democrats polled believed Musk would improve the platform. Only 19 percent of those polled said they would be less likely to use Twitter when Musk owned it, with the percentage rising to 31 percent for Democrats and 33 percent for civil servants. The poll was conducted on 1,000 adults on Sunday and Monday, the day Twitter’s board unanimously accepted Musk’s takeover bid. The margin of error of the poll is 3 percentage points.
