Lancashire police have confirmed that 50-year-old Andrew Berfield, from Burnley, has now been charged and will appear in Blackburn Court on Thursday. The 33-year-old mother of two, from Padiham in Burnley, was reported missing after being last seen around 9.30am on Friday morning. A woman who fits Ms. Kenyon’s description left an address in Burnley City that morning, traveling about 17 miles in a silver Ford Transit truck in the Bolton-by-Bowland area of northern Lancashire. More than 60 police officers from four police forces are scanning the Gisburn Forest in the Ribble Valley of Lancashire in search of Ms. Kenyon. The hunt involves police and firefighters, dog groups, cavalry police, mountain rescue volunteers and drones. On Tuesday, investigators said they believed Ms. Kenyon was dead. Her family says her disappearance is out of character. As the investigation continues, her sister, Sarah Kenyon, wrote on Facebook: “It’s now a waiting game, we did what we could, we searched everywhere, we contacted everyone.” As the charge was announced, Lancashire police said: “Katie’s family has been notified and continues to be supported by specially trained officers. “
