One of the most wanted people in the country comes from Trail, BC and the authorities offered a reward of 100,000 dollars for information that will lead to his arrest. Gene Karl Lahrkamp is now the most wanted on the BOLO (be on the lookout) Top 25 list of the most wanted in Canada. Lahrkamp was right behind Abilaziz Mohamed, who was the most wanted man in the country for his role in the murder of 43-year-old Craig MacDonald in Toronto last October. But since BOLO was released on Tuesday, Mohammed has been arrested. The reward for information about Mohammed was $ 250,000. Lahrkamp is also wanted for the fatal shooting of former Abbotsford gangster Jimi Sandhu, who was shot and killed in Thailand on February 5, 2022. An investigation has shown that Sandhu became the target of two Canadian men who fled the country shortly after the shooting. One of the men was arrested in February. Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers offers the reward for an effort to encourage tipsters to contact the authorities. The Top 25 BOLO list allows tipsters to share information anonymously and collect their rewards without ever talking to a researcher. “Community safety is a shared responsibility, in which we all play a role,” said Toronto Crime Stoppers president Sean Sportun. “If you know where any of these suspects are and you want to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers and have confidence that your identity will be protected.” The information leading to Lahrkamp’s arrest could pay up to $ 100,000, Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers said. Lahrkamp was last known to live on Trail BC, where he resides and authorities believe he is still in the countryside. The BOLO for the 36-year-old Lahrkamp shows that he is about 210 pounds and six feet-four. “It can travel with an unknown number of dogs,” the researchers said. Another British Colombian also broke the list of the 25 most wanted. John Norman Mackenzie, ranked 21st for illegal escape after escaping the Mission Institution in 2018, where he served a life sentence for several convictions, including second-degree murder and armed robbery. “These two fugitives, and the rest of the top 25, are charged with serious crimes,” Linda Annis, executive director of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers, told a news release. “With the rise of online awareness, we and BOLO hope to attract extra attention. Crime Stoppers is ready to take anonymous advice on any information that helps them find it.” The public is advised not to approach any of these men because they are considered armed and dangerous.
