Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has unveiled an iPhone DIY repair rental service. The rental tool kit was introduced as part of Apple Self Service Repair Program, which launched in the US earlier this year. The service is expected to launch in Europe within the year. The tool kit depends on the iPhone model one wants to repair. The kit will have the tools needed to repair a specific iPhone model. Consumers can keep the tool kit with them for seven days. Apple has announced the iPhone tool kit with a weekly rental price of 49 USD (about 3,800 Rs). The service is available on the Self Service Repair Store website for consumers in the USA. In addition, the brand has made a custom tool kit for rent on iPhone models in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series and on the iPhone SE (2022). The tools come in cases that are 20 inches wide and 47 inches high on top of each other. There is only one tool kit available for the iPhone SE (2022), while for other iPhone models it is available in two cases. The cases weigh between 16 and 19 kg and are accompanied by wheels.
