The market changed wildly on Monday with Walker now the favorite. I’m really angry with myself for not moving Hats out of here earlier. Hatch’s arms did not meet Trent Baalke’s length requirements and he played for Jim Harbau in college. There is no way Baalke can give Harbs a chance to shine at first. There is still a small chance it will still be OL (most likely Ickey), but I will drive with Walker.

The easy move is to put Hats here, and he may well be the No. 2 overall pick. But Thibs has a huge face and Brad Holmes was locked with a laser on him through this process. The Lions also have information through former teammate Penei Sewell. Too much is made up of things from Michigan and Dan Campbell making his choice “one of his kids” here.

I’ve been thinking about OL here for Texans for a while now, or maybe even the best EDGE player available. But this is a “bad” draft category and there are not many elite players. One guy who could overturn this narrative is Sting, who would be a stone padlock at No. 1 this year if the only thing people saw was the 2019 cassette. The skills are repetitive, so why should Texans do not reach the stars with one of their options in the first round?
