The 33-year-old undefeated WBC heavyweight champion once again said he was happy with his luck and ready to hang up his gloves, three days after Britain’s winner Dillian Whyte took a break in the sixth round in front of 94,000 people at Wembley. Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV, Fury said: “This is the truth, the truth of the gospel, nothing but the truth – I’re done. Every good dog has its day. As one great Roman leader said, there will always be someone else to fight. “When is it enough? I’m happy, I’m healthy, I’m still in my mind, I can still talk. I have a beautiful wife, I have six children. I have a lot of belts, I have a lot of money. I have success, fame, glory. What else do I do it for? “Boxing is a very dangerous sport, you can be kicked out, as we saw on Saturday night, and it only takes an unlucky blow and you may not get up from this canvas. I give up while I’m ahead. I am undefeated, only the second person in history to retire an undefeated heavyweight champion. “I am very, very happy and very satisfied in my heart with what I have done, what I have achieved. It’s not a matter of money for me. Many people in this world, everything has to do with money, and more money and more money. I have enough money. I have enough of everything I need. I am a very simple person. I drive a 07 VW Passat. “I am a very normal person, I do not need a lot of money to impress everyone.” Tyson Fury gave an interview to Piers Morgan’s new TV show. I have a family to do. I have four young children to raise and two older ones. I have been missing for the last 10 years on the road, all over the world, traveling for boxing. When do I manage to become a father or a husband, a brother, a son. I need this personal time. “The fans will always want more, they are always looking for more blood. But at the end of the day I have nothing more to give. I have given everything I have. I was a professional [for] 14 years, I have been boxing for over 20 years. “It’s my turn to soar. I always said I wanted to leave the sport, and do it on my own terms, and I did not want to be the person who said “well, maybe I should have retired two years ago” or whatever. “I just wanted to come out on top, to go out with a bang. Nearly 100,000 at Wembley, with knockout odds. “They will not hastily forget the Gypsy King and no amount of tangible assets or money will make me return from retirement because I am very happy.” Fury has stated that he is not interested in facing either WBA, IBF and WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua, whose rematch is scheduled for this summer. He also said after Saturday’s match that he did not rule out the possibility of exhibition races or a return to World Wrestling Entertainment. And when asked by Morgan on Wednesday what his biggest goal in life right now was, Fury replied: “My big goal in life right now, Piers, is to get a job next to you, interview people and talk about the mind. my!”
