Ms Trevelyan also said she had fallen victim to “wandering hands”. The cabinet minister was asked on LBC radio if she had ever seen half-heartedness in Parliament, saying: “I have witnessed and been at the sharp end of half-heartedness by some colleagues, many times. “I feel very comfortable being a strong and honest woman, who speaks clearly, I shouted when she came in my direction.” Asked how this half-heartedness came about, Ms Trevelyan said: “Well, we could describe it as a wandering hand, if you will, we could describe it as, you know, many years ago it was nailed to a wall by a man. Member of Parliament who is no longer in Parliament, I am happy to say that I have to want him because he was a strong man. “Such things, the abuses of power shown by a very small minority, fortunately, of male colleagues are completely unacceptable.”
